Hunt rules let you adjust how the hunt can be played. You need to activate the advanced editor in order to access the hunt rules.
These settings don't actually change the behaviour of the hunt but can provide additional information to participants if they ask questions about the hunt.
Enter the distance participants will travel during the hunt. This should be in metres.
Enter how long you expect it will take participants to complete the hunt. This should be in minutes. The duration isn't enforced, meaning participants can take longer to complete the hunt. If you wish to limit how long they have to complete the hunt, use the time limit (see below).
If you set a start time, participants can only take part in the hunt after this time. If they try to start within 30 minutes of the start time they can join the waiting room for the hunt. They will then be informed 10 minutes and 1 minute before the hunt starts, and their attempt will automatically commence at the start time.
If you set an end time, participants cannot take part after this time. This means new participants cannot join, and any existing participants must have completed their attempt otherwise it will automatically end.
The time limit can be used to set a limit on how long participants have to complete the hunt. If they do not complete within this time, their attempt will automatically end.
These rules affect how a player wins the hunt. A hunt attempt will always end when they complete the last step or provide a response which triggers the end of hunt action.
This is enabled by default. Every time the participant completes a step they are awarded a point.
If set, the players attempt will end when they achieve this number of points.
